The 2001 swimming pool season will soon be upon us. We know you will agree with us, when we say that the summer of 1999 and 2000 will definitely go down in the history books as perhaps one of the best seasons ever. The "weather word" is...........more of the same for 2001!

Now is a great time to start planning for the 2001 swim season. Call us today! Any one of our Client Care Specialists will be pleased to discuss your swimming pool / spa needs. We have several pool care packages designed to suit all budgets and service needs, from our basic pool opening services to our complete ULTIMATE pool care programs.

In addition to our pool care "packages", we are offering the Aquaprotect Plus spa and pool protection program. This is an annual pool and spa warranty repair/replacement program. The plan will cover 100% of the repair and or replacement costs (both parts & labour) on your filters, pumps, heaters, chlorinators, brominators and above ground plumbing. The plan is administered through Cornerstone Limited and all contracts are registered with Kingsway General Insurance Company.

To book your Aquaprotect Plus plan, please call us prior to the end of April 2000, so that we can evaluate your equipment and have it registered in time for the 2000 summer season. Indoor pool owners can register at any time. The plan is valid on any equipment that is less than ten (10) years old.

You may be ready to swim, but is your filter and heater ready to perform? Dusting off your filter and heater the day before you are ready to swim is just not enough! Over 75% of pool related problems occur on start-up, and are generally a result of clogged or dirty filters and malfunctioning heaters. Have you ever considered changing the sand in your filter? The sand in your filter is responsible for at least 70% of the cleaning of your pool water and it is recommended that it be changed every three (3) years. A clean sand bed will insure maximum filtration, thus preventing cloudy water and algae build-up. Additionally, you should notice a reduction in your chemical consumption, which saves you money.

Like the furnace in your home, your swimming pool heater is an intricate appliance that you rely on to insure the comfort and enjoyment of your swimming pool. Most outdoor heaters are a gas appliance and as such require annual start-up maintenance. We are surprised as to how many people neglect this inexpensive "needed" service. A properly cleaned heater, performed by a licensed Superior Pool, Spa & Leisure Ltd. gas technician, will insure safe and efficient service. All heater manufacturers will void their warranties if the heater has not been properly maintained.

Remember, anytime between now and May 15, 2001 is the best time to have this service performed.
